I was there when Abraham Lincoln was unfortunately assassinated on Good Friday at the famous Ford’s Theater in Washington D.C by a man named John Wilkes Booth and his co-conspirators Lewis Powell and David Herold. Lincoln was not entirely shot, he was wounded slightly by a pistol which had a dagger attachment on it and when stabbed it is referred to as being shanked.
I was one of the others who was wounded in the gun blast injuring in total myself and 3 others including Abraham Lincoln. The cinema was then filled with people panicking in fear as the gunman continued to fire. Luckily no one else besides myself and the President were harmed. The next day the men were caught hiding out in an abandoned house near by the theartre in the bush and were executed the following day.
