I was there when the son of a senior government official, Gandhi was born and raised in a community in Hindu Bania coastal Gujarat, and trained in law in London.
I watched him grow up as I am his father my name is Karamchand Gandhi.
As he grew up he learnt to fight but sad they he got assassinated at the age 78.on 30 January 1948, shot at point black range by Nathuram Godase.
Prior to his death, there had been five unsuccessful attempts to kill Gandhi, in New Delhi in India.
